IKON expands the Monte San Michele Museum VR path with new immersive experiences
Eight years after the 2018 renovation, the Museum of Mount San Michele's exhibition path evolves once again. IKON has designed and implemented two new virtual reality experiences that enhance the existing digital offering, bringing visitors into the heart of the human and psychological dimension of the Great War.
The new experiences go beyond the tactical documentation of the front to explore a complex and delicate theme: the trauma of conflict and the line between the reality of the trenches and the refuge of madness. This narrative approach aims to complete the museum's educational path, offering an intimate level of engagement that allows for a perception of the First World War's impact from an unprecedented perspective.
The update confirms IKON’s ability to evolve its digital heritage projects over time, maintaining a high level of technological innovation. In this context, virtual reality acts as an empathic bridge, capable of restoring historical depth and human sensitivity to one of the most dramatic chapters of the past.
