VR Project for Autovie Venete: training and workplace safety
IKON puts Virtual Reality at the service of training and workplace safety.
The project, developed for Autovie Venete, aims to offer road safety personnel an entirely new training approach that leverages the full potential of Virtual Reality, ensuring effective instruction in a completely safe environment.
Through the use of Oculus Quest 2 headsets, operators can simulate highly realistic scenarios — including some of the most complex and hazardous situations faced by Autovie Venete’s teams. Each scenario can be customized based on type, difficulty, and environmental conditions such as weather and lighting.
“We are exploring an entirely new paradigm,” said Enrico Degrassi, CEO of IKON, “that allows us to revolutionize the traditional learning model based on theoretical e-learning courses. This innovative approach also activates spatial and motor memory, engaging perception and emotion. Learning effectiveness in the immersive context improves by up to 233% compared to traditional methods, while training time is reduced by up to 90%.”
